- SSgt. Jimmy Arroyave - K.I.A. 4/15/05

At
the time of Jimmys death our daughters were
6 years old and 2 years old. Our oldest daughter
had a bad feeling about Jimmys second
deployment from the moment we told her he
was going back.
When Jimmy deployed the first time, her only
concern was that she was going to really
miss her daddy.
But the second deployment she definitely
had a different feeling.
From
the moment we told her that Jimmy was
re-deploying, she made it very clear that he was
going
to die over there. I remember Jimmy walking
in to our
room after weeks of Vanessa telling us
he was going to die. He walked in and said
to
me "Vanessa,
really believes I am going to die over
there," but
we both just brushed it off. We were
concerned about Vanessa though and Jimmy
and I even spoke
with Vanessas school counselor
regarding her feelings about Jimmy re-deploying.
When I told
Vanessa that Jimmy had died, she simply
replied, "I
told you" and began to cry.

- Lance Cpl. Patrick Kenny of Emsworth -

Cpl.
Kenny was in his second tour in Iraq. The first brought
him to the city of Fallujah, not far from the spot
where he died. Though he worked in war zones where
bombings and death are common, Cpl. Kenny told his
family not to worry about him.
" He
always told my mom he would come home and find a
wife, and they would give her pretty grandchildren," Katy
Kenny said. "That's all he really wanted."

Sgt. Sean H. Miles

The
first honoree of the 1st Annual "Fallen
Marine Memorial Run" in 2006 was Marine Sgt.
Sean H. Miles of Midlothian Virginia, who was killed
in action in Iraq on January 24, 2006 while rescuing
another Marine who was in need of assistance. Sean
left behind
a wife, a son, mother, father, sister,
brother, grandmother and grandfather and many others
whom he touched and left behind. The mother and father
of Sean, Mike and Deb Miles, have expressed their
support of this mission and was probably best put
by Mike Miles when he said, "Some Gave All,
All gave Some and Some Still Give".
Just
as Sean died offering support to another human being,
we too should reach out to offer support to those
families. Even the smallest act of kindness can make
a difference in the lives of a suffering and grieving
family and you dont have to be any more than
just one person to do that.
